Speaker Bio:

A chartered Mechanical Engineer with a BSc from Trinity College Dublin, Ciran spent 5 years in the Automotive sector As a project manager before moving into measurement systems. Initially starting on the operational side with Taylor Hobson (AMETEK) he moved – post MBA with Nottingham University – into Product Management. He then took up A Head of Product Management position with Malvern Instruments who specialise in a wide range of measurement system based on material characterisation with a focus on the Pharmaceutical, Chemical and Food sectors. He Joined Ishida Europe in early 2016 as the Business Manager for Quality Control.

Factors to consider when select an X-ray system for Quality Inspection

Presentation Synopsis:

There is an increasing interest in applying X-ray technology into food
production facilities for foreign body detection. The primary drivers in
considering the application of X-ray are;
- Retailers demanding higher quality inspection regimes that cannot be
  provided by metal detection technology alone.
- A desire for improved product quality which can open up new customer
  bases or maintain margins with existing customers by providing high
  quality products.
As with most purchases there is nothing to fear, provided you have a clear
understanding of what you want from the system and you have undertaken
a reasonable amount of background research.
